Hungry Ghost Festival

The Hungry Ghost Festival falls on the last Sunday. Mom and I didn't went back hometown, so mom decided to go over to Uncle Ken's (mom's brother) place to stay overnight. She said she was scared to stay alone with me in this festival (stupid mom) ... The chinese believe that WE, DOGS, have the ablility to see those spirit... and these few days, I often wake up in a very sudden in the middle of the night and dashed to the wooden door in the kitchen and bark furiously, scratching the door, with all my furs straight up!! Mom don't want to see this happen on the exact night of this festival, so she decided to go over to Uncle Ken's house where there will be more people accompany her and I of course!!
Mom found the description for this festival in Wikipedia, so she decided to copy it here and share with my pals over here...
The Ghost Festival is a traditional Chinese festival and holiday, which is celebrated by Chinese in many countries. In the Chinese calendar (a lunisolar calendar), the Ghost Festival is on the 14th night of the seventh lunar month.
In
Chinese tradition, the thirteen day of the seventh month in the lunar calendar is called Ghost Day and the seventh month in general is regarded as the Ghost Month (鬼月), in which ghosts and spirits, including those of the deceased ancestors, come out from the lower world. During the Qingming Festival the living descendants pay homage to their ancestors and on Ghost Day the deceased visit the living. On the thirteen day the three realms of Heaven, Hell and the realm of the living are open and the Taoists and Buddhists would perform rituals to transmute and absolve the sufferings of the deceased. Intrinsic to the Ghost Month is ancestor worship, where traditionally the filial piety of descendants extends to their ancestors even after their deaths. Activities during the month would include preparing ritualistic food offerings, burning of hell money and bags containing cloth to pay homage to the visiting spirits of the ancestors, treating the deceased as if they are still living. Elaborate meals would be served with empty seats for each of the deceased in the family. Other festivities may include, burying and releasing miniature paper boats and lanterns on water, which signifies giving directions to the lost ghosts and spirits of the ancestors and other deities.

Playing a bit too rough..

Mom trying to teach me new trick after the 'Play Dead' one. She tried to teach me 'Say Thank You'... hey, of course not really say it out, it is impossible for me to 'say'... She wanna teach me to express my 'thank you' by waving.. But guess what... I didn't really get what she want... I didn't wave when she said 'say thank you', but I touched her hand twice everytime she said SAY THANK YOU... mom... this is all I could do... accept this mom...

Mom: I think I should accept this 'touching' thank you as this could be another way of expressing his thank you.

After my learning section, we started to play and I started to go more excited and pounce on mom and lick mom and mom suddenly mom shouted NO!!! Goofy!!! Stop!!! Oooppssss.... I hurt mom... Look at the photos below and see what I did to both mom's arms... Sorry mom...

I then started to keep myself down on the couch, dare not to make a single move as she starts taking photos of her arms saying that she wanna let my pals see on blog, how rough I go when I started to play over-excitedly... Mom, sorry, that hurts? After the 'arm photo section', mom came over and hug me again realized that I got scared for scratching her.. She keeps on saying 'It's ok, dear, it's ok"......... And hearing this, I jumped up and starts my 'exciting play' again!!!!!!!

Mom brought me to Uncle Tan's farm on last Sunday. I had a great time there sniffing around new stuffs and running up and down...These veges are sooooooooooooooooooo green... And this is a real large farm ...

I hope so much that mom could let me go off leash in the farm but mom said no as she scared I might destroy those nice veges...

But mom... Actually I'm just trying to inspect those veges... I'm just trying to help Uncle Tan to see is there any problem with his veges..

And see what I found... A bigger sized dog than I am but scared of me!!!! Wahahahaha!!!! Look at his tail and ears and you'll know he was scared. He hide under Uncle Tan's car when I barked at him!!! Wahahaha!!!! And he couldn't control his pee under the car!!! Wahahahaha!!!!!

And at the end of the day, I got sooo tired and tried to get mom's hug during her dinner....

New collar and bolster??

Mom bought me a new collar. A blue colour collar with a bit of shiny shiny dots on it.
How you guys think? Nice?

Then.. Another thing mom got for me.. A bolster... What is a bolster for? Anyone know?

Too big for me to throw.. And the worst part is it doesn't have a squeaker inside..

But this is quite cozy to snooze on...

And hey, I should get this into my crate...

busy..busy..busy..

I wonder why hoomans can get soooo busy at times... Couldn't they stop and relax? Or stop to have some play???

Look what have mom turn the living room into? Her 2nd working place!!!! Hey, mom, this is the place for me to play, not for your job, ok???

Ok, pals, mom took my place, I got to go to other place to have some FUN... Look what is this? A lizard I found in the kitchen. I've killed it.

Mom: I heard noises in the kitchen, boom and bang... When I got in to see what happened, Goofy is jumping and scratching the kitchen floor. So I shouted for him. I went near and saw this poor thing. I wonder where is its tail~~~~
